Probate Law

Compassionately managing life's most serious decisions.

The serious illness or death of a loved one is a difficult situation to endure, however sometimes what comes after — caring for and distributing a loved ones assets and possessions -- can also prove to be emotionally taxing. Kathleen sees the Role of Personal Representative as a unique privilege. There is an old proverb that  burying a friend is the final act of kindness you can perform. Kathleen believes that distributing a decedent’s assets is a part of that process.

If you are tasked with probating an estate, Kathleen can guide you in dealing with the probate process, settling creditor’s claims, setting up trusts and marshalling assets, selling personal and real property, and preparing all of the paperwork needed by the Probate court. Kathleen has successfully resolved heir’s property cases that have involved as many as four generations of family members. While this is unusual, her experience with these complex matters makes her a go-to person for Probate.

Kathleen also has many years of experience drafting end of life documents. She also handles Conservatorship and Guardianship cases for those with debilitating illnesses, mental health issues and those struggling with substance abuse issues.
